Since being on the Keto diet I must admit that Keto Coffee has become my thing. I just love drinking it first thing in the morning. Also if you’ve been following the protocol, you’ve probably already heard of Bulletproof Coffee too; but what is the difference between the two?
What is Keto Coffee?
Keto coffee is a high fat and low carb version of coffee. This means that it’s high in the good fats, such as coconut oil and MCT oil and it doesn’t contain all of the fat and sugar that can be found in your basic coffee or the ones that you may find in Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts.
A lot of people who drink Keto coffee find that they’re appetite is suppressed and that they have a lot of energy. Because of this some people find that they can have a cup of coffee in the morning and that is all they need. We don’t recommend using it as a meal replacement, but it can definitely keep you from overeating.
There are lots of ways that you can spruce up keto coffee, it primarily consists of three ingredients: coffee, butter and oil. You can use any type of coffee, but you will add a good grass fed butter like coconut oil and MCT oil. You can use an over the counter creamer like Rapid Fire or the Ketogenic brand of creamer. These can be found at GNC. When using these types of creamers a good hand-held frother makes it blend just right.
Now what is Bulletproof Coffee?
Bulletproof coffee is very similar to Keto coffee. The only difference is that it only contains MCT Oil and coffee. That’s the only major difference which is the main reason why most people use these two terms synonymously.
The Best Keto Creamers for Your Keto Coffee
There are a lot of great Keto Creamers out on the market. You should try the ones that work the best for you. Amazon carries just about all of them, so there are no excuses. You can try your own blends by adding natural ingredients like Vanilla extract, Cinnamon powder, unsweetened cocoa and more. However, if you don’t have time for that you can try some of the following:
Pruvit Sweet Kremer
Omega Power Creamers
Rapid Fire Creamer
Ketogenic Diet Creamers
Keto Coffee Hot or Cold?
I prefer to have my coffee hot. Some people however like to have their coffee cold. But when you have your coffee cold, you will have to leave out the butter because you know what happens to butter when it’s cold…it clumps up and you don’t want that. Also it might be better to blend it with ice like a Frappuccino.
Keto Coffee is Overall Good For You
People will often say that being on the Keto protocol is bad for you. They will say stuff like your cholesterol goes up and overall their arteries get clogged, etc. But none of this is true. Keto is not about eating all of that junk. Keto primarily consists of good clean foods. This is the reason why Keto coffee is great. Because first you can get all of your good fats early in the morning. You can get your Omega 3’s which are extremely good for you. As a result of getting these great fats you will have healthier skin, more energy and better brain clarity.
With these types of benefits the best thing you can do is to continue to drink more keto coffee because it’s good for you.
