What to do for Keto Constipation Relief

Keto constipation relief is here. Nobody likes to talk about this side of Keto, but the fact of the matter is this, if you’re following the Keto diet, then you’re probably going to experience some form of constipation. If you are are experiencing infrequent bowel movements then you’ve reached the right place to find relief.

First and foremost, you should know that you’re not alone.  Therefore, you don’t need to feel as if you’re by yourself.  Just about everyone following the keto diet protocol experiences this.  But there are specific things that you can do to help you so read on.

Drink plenty of water – Drinking more water in general can help you keep you to have more frequent bowel movements.  Most people are naturally dehydrated.  Adding magnesium to your water can also assist with moving your bowels more regularly.  Garden of Life has a great brand of magnesium that is pretty good.

Take a good probiotic – Probiotics are great for you and unlike harsh laxatives that can leave your colon black over time, a good probiotic will provide excellent gut health because it doesn’t strip the body of healthy bacteria.

Eat more green leafy vegetables.  Try to incorporate more salads or green leafy vegetables like kale, spinach, and broccoli into your program.

Add more fiber to your program. You can buy psyllium husk powder which can assist you by providing a natural dose of fiber to your diet.

Eat more salads – Eating more salads could definitely help with relieve constipation. It is also assists in your weight loss efforts.

Exercise More – There is nothing like hitting the gym.  Exercise is know for helping your bowels move.  Therefore, you should definitely get moving.

Drink Coffee – Drinking coffee has always helped me to go to the bathroom.  It still does help.  However, I noticed that it is not the same as it used to be.  When drinking coffee while following Keto, try to use a creamer with MCT Oil. My absolute favorite is Rapid Fire Creamer.

Whatever you do, be careful with harsh laxatives because they may cause your colon to turn black or a myriad of other issues and that are not good.
