So today is my birthday and I decide to make some Fudgy Keto Brownies with Truvia and they came out great. I cut them into small pieces and dressed the plate up a bit. I decided to take a picture and share what I did.
Fudgy Keto Brownies – The Recipe
This was the first time I made fudgy keto brownies and I must say that it was pretty easy and fun. The ingredients were:
¾ cup of butter
4 oz of unsweetened chocolate (I used Ghirardelli 100% Cocoa 4 oz Bar, if you buy it below know that I am Amazon Affiliate and I earn an affiliate bounty on it, if you purchase. It helps to pay the bills). I am not going to lie, this is the best frickin chocolate ever. It’s rich as hell and it’s so worth it. You should be able to find this in the grocery store.
¾ cup of blanched almond flour
2/3 cup of Truvia sweetner
2 tbsp of unsweetened cocoa powder
2 eggs (make sure they are room temperature or wait until the melted chocolate cools a little)
1 tsp of vanilla extract
¼ cup of nuts of your choice chopped
(If you want you can add a dollop of some low calorie yogurt as a special treat or make some keto ice cream)
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (177 degrees C). Line an 8×8 in (20×20 cm) pan with parchment paper, with the edges of the paper over the sides.
Melt the butter and chocolate together in a double boiler, stirring occasionally, until smooth. Remove from heat and pour into a bakers bowl. Then add the vanilla extract.
Then mix all of the other ingredients in truvia, almond flour, eggs, cocoa powder and stir. The mixture will be grainy. That’s fine.
Transfer the batter to the buttered for lined pan. Smooth the top with a spatula or the back of a spoon. If desired, sprinkle with chopped press them into the top.
Bake for about 13-18 minutes and make sure to cool completely before moving or cutting.
This should be about 8 to 10 grams of carbs. So remember it is a Keto-friendly TREAT, now a staple. : ) Enjoy!
